Popular Yoruba actor Taiwo Ibikunle has opened up about one of the most challenging moments he has faced in his acting career and how he managed to handle the situation to avoid public humiliation.

In an interview featured on the official Kunleafod TV YouTube channel, Ibikunle recounted an incident where a woman in his neighborhood embarrassed him by mocking him as a “poor actor” because of the type of car he was driving.
Despite the hurtful remark, Ibikunle revealed that his reaction to the situation was guided by resilience and a determination to rise above the criticism.
The actor recounted an encounter with a woman from his neighborhood who confronted him on the street, openly criticizing his acting skills and mocking him for his choice of vehicle. This public humiliation could have shaken his confidence and tarnished his professional reputation. However, his response to the situation showcased his resilience and strength of character.
In his statement, he said, “One of the saddest days of my life since I joined film making was when a woman in my neighborhood said bad things about my personality. While I was driving on the street, a woman embarrassed me and called me a poor actor. I wanted to attack her for mocking me, but I decided to keep calm and just let it go because people were watching us, and I later changed my location because of the woman.”
