Renowned Nigerian Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as Kwam1 or K1 De Ultimate, has announced the passing of his mother, Halima Anifowoshe, at the age of 105.
Since the announcement, condolences have been pouring in from fans, colleagues, and well-wishers for the Fuji music icon and the Olori Omooba of Ijebu Land. The heartfelt messages reflect the deep respect and admiration for K1 D Ultimate and his family during this difficult time.
The news was shared on one of K1 D Ultimate’s verified social media accounts, where the legendary artist informed his fans and loved ones of the sad development.
The Fuji star shared the heartbreaking news on Saturday through his social media platforms, posting a photo of himself with his late mother and captioning it: “Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi Raji’un. RIP Mama.”
This tragedy comes just days after Kwam1 lost one of his wives, Alhaja Hafsat Ajoke Anifowoshe, who passed away on Tuesday following an undisclosed illness. She was laid to rest the same day at Abari Cemetery, Lagos, under Islamic rites.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Executive Chairman of Lagos Island East Local Council Development Area (LIELCDA) extended condolences on behalf of the council.
“We know it hurts so deeply to lose a loving mother and dependable partner. We wish we could find enough words to comfort you at this moment.
“You must, however, take solace in the time your mother spent on earth and her good service to God and humanity.
“We understand she was an excellent woman, affectionate mother, and dutiful parent to her children who was loved by all those who came in contact with her. Rest assured that our thoughts are with you, and our prayers are that you, the children, and all those she left behind will find the strength to continue where she stopped. May her soul find eternal rest,” it stated.
