Veteran Yoruba actress, Mama Ereko, has opened up about some of the events that led to her separation from her husband. She also revealed how he used to bring his girlfriends into their home.
In an interview shared on the official YouTube channel of Talk2dunnis TV, she recounted how her husband would invite one of his girlfriends over, openly engaging in an affair even while she was present in the house.
One of the most shocking aspects of her story was her husband’s blatant disregard for their marriage. She revealed that he frequently brought one of his girlfriends into their home, showing no concern for her presence. His actions not only humiliated her but also left her feeling powerless and trapped in a situation beyond her control.
Beyond inviting his mistress into their home, he went to great lengths to create opportunities for their encounters. On multiple occasions, he would intentionally send her on errands, fully aware that his lover was coming over. This pattern of deceit and manipulation deepened her sense of isolation, as she had no support or means to fight back against the betrayal.
Even when she was at home, her husband showed no restraint in his actions. He engaged in affairs with his mistress within the same house they shared, making it clear that he had no intention of hiding his infidelity. The emotional distress of witnessing such acts left her feeling helpless and deeply wounded.
Despite the pain and anger she felt, she found herself unable to challenge her husband. Fear played a significant role in keeping her silent, as she was too afraid to confront him about his actions. This fear stemmed from the dynamics of their relationship, where she had little power or say in what happened within her own home.
In her statement, she said, “I experienced a lot of problems when I was married to my husband. Sometimes my husband would send me on an errand because his girlfriend wanted to pay him a visit in our house.
My husband brings home his girlfriend, and they do have sex while I was at home with them. I usually get angry, but I cannot challenge my husband because I was always afraid of him.”
