Popular Yoruba comic actor Apankufor has shared his humble journey in the movie industry.
In a recent interview, Apankufor revealed how he managed to survive in the industry with the support of veteran actor Ibrahim Chatta.
Reflecting on his early days, he recalled that his father wanted him to pursue an education, but he had little interest in academics and struggled to express his feelings to his father.
“My father wanted me to dress formally, wear shirts and trousers, and follow a different path. I have known many popular celebrities who used to seek my father’s help, and he always welcomed their requests,” he shared.

In another post Oluwatoyin Bayegun, better known as Woli Arole, has raised concerns over the current trends in the Nigerian gospel music industry.
He lamented that “hypocrisy, worldliness, and cabalism” have taken over the gospel music scene.
He noted that invitations for ministration are now based on connections rather than the leading of the Holy Spirit.
The fiery preacher said it has become difficult to distinguish between a gospel music minister and a secular artiste.
In a recent Instagram post, he wrote: “The level of hypocrisy, worldliness, and cabalism in the gospel music industry in Nigeria is alarming. Oh yes! Invitations are based on who you know, not as the Spirit leads. Music ministers too—we can’t differentiate whether you’re a performer or a minister. It’s well!”
