Nollywood actress and new mother, Olayinka Solomon, has shared words of encouragement for single mothers.
In a joint post with Mercy Aigbe, she stated that no woman can truly be happy while raising children from multiple fathers. Instead of the peace they seek, she noted, the journey is often filled with struggles.
According to Solomon, it takes a real man to stay and raise a child, whereas any man can simply father one. She emphasized that while there are many sperm donors, true fathers are rare. She added that while having a child may be easy, the real challenge—and the distinction between boys and men—lies in staying to nurture that child.
The Yoruba actress further explained that a woman with children from multiple fathers carries a burden that many fail to see. She constantly juggles expectations, emotions, and the never-ending pursuit of stability.
Sending a message of support to single mothers, Olayinka praised their unmatched strength, unwavering love, and selfless sacrifices, which she believes are shaping a better future. She reminded them that behind every strong child is a single mother who gave everything, even when she felt she had nothing left to give.
“No woman finds true happiness raising children by different fathers; it’s a journey often marked by struggle, not the peace we all seek.
Any man can drop sperm and make a baby, but it takes a real one to stay and raise a child.
Sperm donors are plenty, but real fathers are rare.
Making a baby is easy. Sticking around to be a dad? That’s where boys get separated from men.
A woman with children from different fathers carries a weight few can see – balancing emotions, expectations, and the constant fight for stability.
To every single mother holding it down—your strength is unmatched, your love is unstoppable, and your sacrifices are shaping a brighter future.
Behind every strong child is a single mother who gave everything, even when she felt she had nothing left…
