Nigerian actor and content creator Yemi Elesho has opened up about his long-standing relationship with Grammy-nominated artist Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake.
During a recent TikTok live session with actor Abiola Kazeem, also known as Jigan Baba Oja, Elesho shared that their bond dates back to their undergraduate years at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife. He recalled frequently buying food and carbonated drinks for Asake during their time at the university.
The content creator, who is the son of veteran actor Adewale Elesho, revealed that he has had a long-standing working relationship with Asake. He recalled that during their university days, he would offer Asake a plate of rice and a bottle of soda as compensation for appearing in his movies and skits on campus. In Yemi Elesho’s words:
“I used to give Asake a ₦700 plate of rice and a bottle of Coca-Cola as performance fees for him to feature in movies during our undergraduate days at OAU.”
“He is my day-one, my very good friend. I have pictures and videos of our time together at OAU. We used to play celebrity football matches together back in the day.”
