A man identifying himself as the father of popular singer Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake, has reached out to Nigerians for assistance.
According to online reports, the fast-rising artist allegedly left behind his father, Mr. Fatai Odunsi, who is now paralyzed after suffering a stroke. Images and videos of the ailing man have surfaced on Twitter, now known as X.
Mr. Odunsi is seeking financial support from the public to manage his worsening health condition. However, conflicting reports about their past relationship have emerged. While some claim Asake’s father was absent during his childhood, others argue that he played an active role in his life, while his mother—now publicly affectionate toward him—was the one who abandoned him.
The circulating video has sparked debate online, with some criticizing Asake for neglecting his father, while others accuse the elderly man of having an entitlement mentality.
