Grammy Award-winning artist Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, professionally known as Burna Boy, has reportedly gifted N20 million to singer Portable following his victory over Speed Darlington in their recent boxing match.
Portable, best known for his hit single “Zazoo Zeh,” confirmed receiving the generous gift from Burna Boy in a post shared via the Insta-stories section of his official Instagram page.
The highly anticipated celebrity boxing match, titled Chaos In The Ring, took place on April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos.
Portable emerged victorious in the celebrity boxing match, delivering a dominant performance against Speed Darlington, who reportedly sustained a shoulder injury and had to be taken away in an ambulance.
It’s worth noting that Burna Boy and Speed Darlington have had ongoing tensions, with the latter previously accusing the Grammy Award-winning artist of allegedly having ties with embattled American rapper Diddy to secure his Grammy win.
Following his victory, Portable called out to Burna Boy, reminding him that he had fulfilled his promise of defeating Speed Darlington and urging the superstar to keep his end of the deal.
Just hours later, Portable confirmed that Burna Boy had indeed sent him N20 million. Sharing the news via his Instagram Stories, he wrote:
“N20 million from Burna Boy. If you wanna be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu? God bless your family.”
