Popular filmmaker and media entrepreneur Samuel Olatunji, known as Bigsam, has explained why he advised actress Toyin Abraham to shave her underarms.
Bigsam revealed this during his latest interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.
As the CEO of Bigsam Media and a publicist who promoted Toyin Abraham, he spoke about the actress’s humble beginnings. He remarked, “Going back to Toyin Abraham, I believe that I’m fulfilling my purpose. If you don’t manage an artist to the point where people suspect you’re either having an affair with them or performing rituals, you haven’t truly fulfilled your role.”“Because you are their father, mother and their pastor. I used to say it and it was still one of my joyous moments. The house that Toyin bought in Ibadan, she didn’t get there. It was when she got married that I handed over the document to her husband.
“She didn’t know where I made the money and I got her the money and asked her if she wanted a car or something, she said which car? She didn’t buy a car. So when people are saying Toyin is doing too much for driving a Jeep, I laugh because she never drove a good car all her life. She now got to a position where she can afford G-Wagon and you are still talking. You don’t know the story.
“There was a time we needed to go and see somebody. I went out to buy shaving sticks for Toyin, shaved the armpits so that if the armpits stand, people should not see. So people should credit Toyin because she was committed to having a better life. She was committed to changes, so it was easier for us to succeed with her.”
