Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has revealed that he has been contemplating suicide after social media activist Verydarkman (VDM) exposed a dark secret about him.
The allegations that led to Bobrisky’s detention by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in April 2024 are widely known. He was sentenced to six months in prison without the option of a fine and was released in August 2024 after serving his sentence.
However, on Tuesday, September 24, Verydarkman claimed that Bobrisky was never actually imprisoned, sharing a leaked voice recording suggesting that Bobrisky bribed EFCC officials to drop the money laundering charges against him.
The voice recording stirred up the internet as it also exposed popular singer Falz and his father Femi Falana (SAN), who is a Human rights activist and lawyer, revealing that Bobrisky paid them N10 million to drop charges and put him into a VIP section in the prison.
Following voice recording, The EFCC invited Bobrisky and Verydarkman as they investigated the bribery case.
Although Bobrisky denied paying any EFCC illegally, he took to his Instagram page to drop the cryptic message, revealing that he does not need any sympathy from anyone.
The post reads, “I have never in my life thought about suicide in my life but now is coming to my head seeing what human being are doing to their fellow human just in d name you want to bring them down by force or because you don’t like them. I don’t need no sympathy from anyone. People i might have need sympathy from are my late parent. But who will fight for you? Friends? HAT ERS YOU WON.
A quick check on his social media pages showed that he has taken down all of his photos on Instagram.
