Controversial Nigerian street-pop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, recently disclosed that he was advised against attending a party hosted by American hip-hop icon Sean “Diddy” Combs during his visit to the U.S.
Diddy has been embroiled in legal issues over the past year, facing allegations related to s*x trafficking, racketeering, and human trafficking. His situation worsened after federal agents raided his homes in Miami and Los Angeles, reportedly uncovering over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricants, which fueled speculation about his sexuality.
Diddy became a viral topic in Nigeria when photos and videos emerged online, showing him interacting with various male celebrities like Burna Boy, Falz, Wizkid, and Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz.
During a live session, Portable revealed that despite receiving an exclusive invitation to mingle with international celebrities, some close associates advised him against attending the party. He expressed gratitude for heeding their advice, stating that otherwise, he might have been associated with Diddy.
Taking a subtle dig at celebrities who have hung out with Diddy, Portable questioned whether they purchased their expensive, multi-million Naira cars with their hard-earned money or compromised their integrity to achieve success by aligning themselves with Diddy.
In his words, “I have some questions for some people, Na God save me when I went to America. They said we should go for Diddy’s party. God saved me that I did not go”.
