Fans of Nigerian music stars Wizkid and Burna Boy were left disappointed when Forbes named Davido as the richest artist in Africa for 2024.
The list, released by the American business magazine, placed Davido at the top with a net worth of $100 million, followed by Don Jazzy with $50 million, Burna Boy at $30 million, Wizkid at $25 million, and Rema at $15 million, rounding out the top five.
Rema had previously hinted at his rise in one of his songs, stating that “the Big Three is gone” because he now considers himself the fourth. The Forbes ranking has sparked debates among fans, many of whom are unhappy with the placements.
This ranking also comes amid the ongoing online feud between Davido and Wizkid, which has been a major topic on social media. The announcement has only intensified discussions, with fans fiercely defending their favorite artists.
