Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya has expressed her dissatisfaction with colleagues who produce substandard, low-quality films for the popular streaming platform, YouTube.
The criticism of Nollywood films on YouTube, especially in the Yoruba genre, led Shokoya to voice her frustration.
Taking to Instagram, the new mother shared her thoughts, condemning filmmakers who prioritize quantity over quality in their productions.
She lamented the growing criticism of the Yoruba film genre and how she came to realize the validity of these accusations. She urged her colleagues to change the negative perception of the Yoruba film industry and ensure that every department is allowed to perform its role.
Debbie emphasized the importance of the production crew, stressing the need for each member to work effectively within their assigned roles. She further encouraged everyone involved to function according to their respective departments.
