Several Nollywood celebrities have responded to the plea for assistance from their colleague, Temitope Kofoworola Osoba, popularly known as Tope Osoba.

On Friday, Famous9ja reported that Foluke Daramola had shared a video of Osoba expressing gratitude to the public for their support, which enabled her to undergo breast surgery. In the caption, Foluke revealed that while the surgery was successful, the financial assistance received was insufficient. She acknowledged the efforts of Tope’s family members, who stepped in to cover the costs, and appealed for additional support to aid her recovery.

The heartfelt video and Foluke’s appeal have sparked an outpouring of empathy and solidarity from fans and colleagues, demonstrating the power of community in challenging times.

Recall that The Nigerian film industry celebrated outstanding stakeholders at the Peace Anyiam-Osigwe (PAO) Nigeria Digital Content Regulation Conference, held in collaboration with the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

The event recognized filmmakers whose works have excelled at the box office over the last decade. A total of 13 individuals and groups received awards for their contributions, which have set industry records and significantly elevated the Nigerian movie scene.

The films of Mo Abudu received the most accolades, followed by those of Funke Akindele.

They were honoured for selling out the cinemas with their outstanding films shown at the box office between 2014 and 2024.

Mo Abudu won four awards while Funke Akindele took home three to emerge the biggest winners of the day.
