Renowned Fuji maestro, Abass Akande Obesere, popularly known as Omo Rapala, is gearing up to celebrate his milestone 60th birthday on January 28, 2025, with a grand celebration.
In honor of this special occasion, the iconic musician, famed for his electrifying Fuji performances, has revealed plans to invest millions of naira in acquiring five luxurious homes.
During a recent performance, Obesere shared his intentions, proudly announcing that he would unveil two houses in Lekki and three in Ibadan as part of his birthday festivities.
As part of his plans for an elaborate 60th birthday celebration, Fuji legend Abass Akande Obesere has announced generous gestures toward his team and fans. The singer revealed that he will gift his backup singers and dancers several plots of land and also plans to give away a brand-new house.
The Egungun hitmaker admitted he initially wanted to keep his birthday plans private but felt the need to address rumors from critics suggesting he is financially struggling.
Speaking in Yoruba, Obesere stated, “On January 28, 2025, I will open five houses—two in Lekki and three in Ibadan. My backup singers and dancers will receive plots of land, and I will be giving someone a new house that day. I didn’t want to make noise about it, but people are saying I’m broke and have no money.”
