Controversial Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, recently sent a direct message to actor Baba Tee on Instagram, leading to the release of several voice notes in which he criticized the actor for allegedly having an affair with Ijoba Lande’s wife, Dara.
In response, Baba Tee publicly apologized to Ijoba Lande for what he described as a “brief” intimate encounter with Dara. During a live interview on Sunday, March 9, 2025, with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers, Baba Tee claimed he was unaware that Dara was Lande’s wife.
He admitted to the affair but insisted it was an unintentional mistake, explaining that it happened under the influence of alcohol while playing a ‘Truth or Dare’ game with Dara and Marygold.
In a series of voice notes, Portable criticized Baba Tee, emphasizing that having a sexual relationship with Ijoba Lande’s wife was completely wrong. He warned that no one should attempt such an act with his own wife, Ashabi Simple, who is in the movie industry, stating that anyone who tries would face severe consequences.
Portable expressed his fondness for Baba Tee but condemned his actions, stressing that sleeping with a well-known actor’s wife was unacceptable. He also suggested that Baba Tee might face significant setbacks in life as a result of the incident.
In response, Baba Tee explained to Portable that it was not intentional. He later praised Portable for reaching out via direct message to hear his side of the story before drawing conclusions.
