Access Bank CEO, wife, son and 3 others die in fatal helicopter crash

Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings, his wife, and four others tragically lost their lives in a fatal helicopter crash in California.

The incident took place around 10 pm on a Friday near Boulder City, situated between Nevada and California.

Police reports indicate that the ill-fated helicopter departed from Palm Springs airport at approximately 8:45 pm, bound for Las Vegas.

Tragically, the accident occurred before reaching its intended destination. Onboard the helicopter were Herbert Wigwe, the CEO of Access Holdings, his wife Chizoba, their son, and Abimbola Ogunbajo, the group chairman of the Nigeria Export Group.

The crash claimed the lives of all passengers, with no survivors. Herbert Wigwe, a prominent figure in the banking industry, was 57 years old at the time of the accident. He had served as the CEO and managing director of Access Bank Holdings, assuming the role after his business partner, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede.
