When a fan asked Nigerian actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele about her plans to buy a Lamborghini, she had a response.
For the past few weeks, Lamborghinis have been a trending topic on social media, following the controversy involving Burna Boy and Sophia Egbueje, as well as Mercy Eke’s recent purchase of the luxury car.
Last week, Famous9ja reported that the internet went into a frenzy after Big Brother Naija winner Mercy Eke announced the arrival of her Lamborghini. While fans were still processing the news, an audio recording surfaced online, in which socialite Sophia Egbueje detailed her alleged affair with Burna Boy and his unfulfilled promise to buy her a Lamborghini. Fortunately for her, she was able to purchase one on her own.
During a Snapchat Q&A with her fans, someone asked Funke Akindele when she planned to buy her own Lamborghini.
“When are you buying a Lamborghini?” the fan asked.
Funke, responding to him, noted how people on social media always use everything to play and see things as jokes. The movie star jokingly vowed to block the fan as she further questioned why they are fond of using everything to trend.
“Everything is always funny to you people Abi? I will block you. It is everything you guys are using to trend?”.

Funke had responded to a fan’s question on her sexual life last month. As she encouraged the mother of two to make time for massage and sex, the admirer had asked if she had time for sex. In response, Funke had expressed surprise at what she had said.
The Queen of the Box Office also took issue with a Twitter user who criticized her work ethic. The tweep shared how the award-winning director inspires her, saying that when she wants to relax, she realizes Funke isn’t, so she keeps up her hustling. “I take some time off to rest well,” Funke said, disagreeing with her.
