Controversial critic Verydarkman has weighed in on the victory of South African model Chidimma Adetshina, who recently won the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024 pageant.
It’s worth noting that Chidimma faced intense backlash during her participation in the Miss South Africa 2024 competition, eventually leading to her withdrawal for various reasons.
She triumphed over 24 other contestants in the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, sparking mixed reactions.
In a recent video, Verydarkman weighed in on the competition’s outcome, claiming that the model representing Taraba State won out of pity rather than merit.
The critic argued that Chidimma did not deserve the crown, suggesting that it undermines the efforts of the other contestants who had prepared all year.
“Because the girl get small problem for South Africa, una invite am come Nigeria make she be Miss Universe. How about the people that have been preparing for this thing for a long time? You people gave her by pity and not be merit; this is not fair,” he stated.
Verydarkman further emphasized her inability to speak the language of the state she represented despite her Nigerian roots while her only reason for visiting Nigeria was due to her issue in South Africa.
