Renowned Yoruba actress Laide Bakare has secured a political position within the Osun state government under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Hailing from Osun state herself, Laide Bakare has been appointed as the Senior Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism.
Despite being from the Ibadan area of Oyo State, she has gained popularity for her roles in various Yoruba movies.
The state government made this public through a statement on its official Twitter account
She wrote: NOW AN HONORABLE π ya Allah I am grateful π. To my New Boss GOVERNOR ADEMOLA JACKSON ADELEKE Imole Osun. Thank you so much for the trust and opportunity to serve. I promise to deliver my Best. So help me God π SENIOR SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE GOVERNOR OF OSUN STATES ON ENTERTAINMENT, ART, CULTUREj AND TOURISM. Lot of work to be done. Shall we?
