Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo was humbled to receive a Leadership award.
The movie star revealed on her Instagram page that she was honored with the Eko Leadership Award for Youth and Empowerment by the Eko Heritage Awards. She expressed her gratitude to the organizers and shared how honored she felt.
“Yesterday, I got an Eko Leadership award for youth and empowerment, proudly organised by @ekoheritageawards …. Thank you so much to the organisers; I’m grateful and humbled”.
Toyin Adewale, Biodun Okeowo, May Edochie, Itele, Tayo Adeniyi, Kazim Adeoti and others congratulated her as they noted how she deserved it.
The Leadership award is coming amid Iyabo Ojo’s messy fight with Very Dark Man, which was reignited after Very Dark Man shaded Iyabo Ojo, claiming that she didn’t get an invite to Davido’s main wedding, inferring that she was only invited to the after party, just like every other influencer. Iyabo had hit back with proof of her invitation, and the two dragged themselves through the mud on social media.
Defending her, The Managing Director of TVC, Morayo Afolabi Brown, had sent her a public note, sending her love and reassurance. She noted how people like her see Iyabo as a woman with noble intentions whose actions have been misconstrued.
