Nigerian singer Iyanya has shared his optimism that music heavyweights Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy will eventually team up on a track.
His remarks followed a recent podcast where Davido suggested that fan-fueled rivalries among the trio have made collaboration difficult.
Reacting to a viral clip from the interview on his X (formerly Twitter) page, Iyanya urged the artists to put their differences aside and come together to make music—and, as he put it, “make money.”
“I believe one day we will get that collaboration between David, Wiz, and Burna,” Iyanya wrote.
“Trolls trying to make money off trolling real hardworking brothers… It’s not easy to look away sometimes, especially when they come for someone or something so dear to your heart.”
The singer, who has worked with all three artists in the past, expressed hope that the collaboration would eventually happen.
“I am one of those in the industry who have been privileged to have worked with all three.
“Let’s make music and get money,” he added
Recall that Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has spoken candidly about the intense criticism he’s faced throughout his music career, claiming that no other Nigerian artist has endured as much backlash as he has.
Reflecting on the highs and lows of his journey, Davido revealed that he has often been the target of relentless online trolling and public scrutiny. He noted that the negativity hasn’t only affected him personally but has also taken a toll on the artists signed to his record label.
According to him, his signees sometimes feel demoralized by the harsh comments they receive on social media. To help them cope, Davido said he often encourages them to ignore the negativity and focus on their goals, using his own resilience as a source of motivation.
