Dayo Amusa’s age is 39 years. As the eldest child in a family of five siblings, Dayo comes from a diverse background. Her mother, Mrs. Abiola Amusa, hails from Ogun State, while her father, Mr. Kolawole Rasheed Amusa, is from Lagos. Dayo began her academic journey at Kenny-Tee Private School in Surulere, where she earned her First School Leaving Certificate. Continuing her education, she attended Mayflower Secondary School in Ikenne Remo, Ogun State, and later completed her secondary education at Mamak Secondary School in Sagamu, Ogun State. She furthered her studies at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, where she obtained a National Diploma (OND) in Food Science and Technology.

Dayo Amusan Career

Dayo embarked on her acting journey in 2002, predominantly starring in Yoruba language films within Nollywood. However, she has also showcased her talent in English language productions. Beyond acting, she is the founder of PayDab Schools, with campuses in Ibadan and Lagos.

In 2006, Dayo ventured into movie production, focusing primarily on Yoruba cinema. Some of her notable productions include “Ajegbodo,” “Oju Awo,” “Ekan Soso,” “Oogun Mii,” “Dewunmi Iberu,” “Inu,” “Idaa,” “Aroba,” “Unforgivable,” “Pathetic,” and “Omoniyun.”

In addition to her acting and filmmaking endeavors, Dayo is a talented musician. She has released hit singles such as “Aye Mii,” “Ayemi Remix” featuring Oritsefemi, “Alejo,” “Blow My Mind,” “Mama’s Love,” “Omodaddy,” among others.

In an interview with Channels TV, Dayo shared her perspective on relationships, questioning the societal expectation of marriage. She remarked, “I only asked a simple question: Is it a must for everyone to get married?” Reflecting on biblical references, she emphasized that while finding a spouse is deemed a good thing, it is not mandatory for everyone. Dayo pointed out the importance of mutual commitment in a relationship, stating, “It takes two to tango.”

Regarding marriage, she likened it to a significant commitment, cautioning against entering into it lightly. She remarked, “I don’t see marriage as a supermarket which you want to jump into for window shopping and then when you feel the mall is boring, you come out of it. Why go into it in the first place?”
