A trending video perfectly captures the saying, “Don’t ever forget who was there for you,” featuring popular Nigerian singer Asake and actor Lala.

Recently, Asake, known for his hit song “Remember,” made headlines by shutting down the 20,000-capacity O2 Arena with an electrifying performance. The YBNL artist made history by selling out the O2 Arena for the second time in a year.

However, what caught many people’s attention online was a video showing actor Lala with Asake at the UK concert. This sparked reactions, especially among former students of Obafemi Awolowo University, who noted that Lala was once a benefactor to Asake during their school days.

According to popular blogger @AsakeTerrorist, actor Lala was the one who brought Asake from Lagos to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile Ife, Osun State.

At the time, Lala was a student at OAU and gave Asake opportunities to perform in his campus shows.

In a show of deep appreciation, Asake invited Lala to his sold-out 20,000-capacity O2 Arena concert on September 21st, 2024. The two were seen enjoying the moment together with incredible energy, highlighting the bond between them.
