“Ejoor! E Saanu Mio, I Don’t Wanto Go To PrIson” – Ijoba Lande Bow To Pressure As He Apologizes To Funke Akindele After Calling Her Out For Paying Him 90k For A Month (Video)

Nollywood actor and content creator Kehinde Ganiyu, popularly known as Ijoba Lande, has publicly apologized to veteran actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele after initially criticizing her.

Ijoba Lande recently stirred controversy online when he took to social media to express his displeasure over receiving N90,000 for a role in one of Funke Akindele’s productions, filmed at Amen Estate. His comments quickly went viral, sparking mixed reactions from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.

However, less than 24 hours later, the actor released another video where he retracted his earlier remarks and offered a sincere apology to the “Everybody Loves Jenifa” star.

Prostrating flat before the camera, Ijoba Lande made an emotional plea to the public, expressing deep regret and fear of potential legal consequences. Tearfully, he begged for help in apologizing to Funke Akindele, insisting that his earlier video had been edited and misrepresented.

He clarified that he never intended to damage her reputation and stressed that Funke Akindele had done him no wrong. According to him, the original footage mentioned a payment of ₦190,000, but viewers focused solely on his mistaken reference to ₦90,000, which fueled the backlash.

Ijoba Lande accused those who edited the video of being malicious, saying their actions had put his life at risk. He urged the public not to destroy him over a misunderstanding, expressing fear that if Funke Akindele chose to take legal action, it could ruin his life.

In his emotional appeal, he repeatedly asked for forgiveness and prayed the matter would be resolved before it escalated further.

He also revealed that he had previously featured in Funke Akindele’s 2018 TV series My Siblings and I, where he played the role of a gateman.
