Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, through his foundation (FOF), has donated N5 million to the family of Sodiq Olayode, who recently welcomed quadruplets.
This significant contribution follows an outpouring of support from Nigerians, who collectively raised over N19 million through online donations.
The Olayode family’s journey captured the hearts of many after a colleague, Oyeniran James, shared their struggles on social media.
James, identified as @jamysax on X (formerly Twitter), revealed that the quadruplets used 105 diapers in just six days, sparking widespread compassion and a flood of donations.
On Monday, the Femi Otedola Foundation, renowned for its charitable initiatives, presented a cheque of N5 million to the Olayode family.
Philip Akinola handed over the cheque on behalf of the foundation. Additionally, Femi Otedola has committed to providing scholarships for the university education of two of the Olayode children.
James took to X (Twitter) to share the news, he wrote:
“Guyssssssssssssssssss, Guess what ???? ‘#realFemiOtedola sent representatives to offer a cheque of N5 million to the parents of the quadruplets and also offered scholarships for the education of two of their kids till University. I’m in tears, guys.’”
This generous donation follows a contribution of N2 million from Airtel Nigeria.
