“Foundation account credited” – Davido shuts down critics with proof of 300 million naira orphanage donation

Nigerian singer David Adedeji Adeleke, widely known as Davido, recently addressed criticism regarding his philanthropic endeavors on his social media platform.

In response to a man who disparaged his plan to donate 300 million naira to orphanages in the country, Davido took to his media page to share his thoughts. This came shortly after the individual responded to Davido’s statement with a derogatory remark.

Davido’s response to the criticism highlights his commitment to giving back to society and his willingness to address detractors head-on. His actions underscore the importance of using one’s platform for positive impact and standing up for charitable causes despite encountering opposition.

Davido had posted on his media page: “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ .. details of disbursement tomorrow.”

Barely 24 hours after the post, a Nigerian man quoted the singer’s statement, saying, “This dude reminds me of that movie ‘She must be obeyed.’ Oju Aiye sha.”

Not long after, the singer quoted the critic’s statement with a screenshot as evidence that he indeed fulfilled his pledge to the orphanage homes.

He wrote: “FOUNDATION ACCOUNT CREDITED…. More details to follow soon.”
