Popular Nigerian gospel singer Yinka Ayefele recently stirred reactions online by sharing how he gets dressed from his bedroom to his car, despite being bound to a wheelchair for the past 27 years.
Yinka Ayefele, the CEO of Fresh FM Ibadan, now 56, was involved in a car accident on December 12th, 1997, which damaged his spinal cord and confined him to a wheelchair.
In a recent interview with journalist Adeola Fayehun, Ayefele shared how he prepares for work each day. Contrary to popular belief that others assist him in dressing, the trending clip shows him independently getting dressed and heading to work daily.
In the video, Yinka Ayefele is seen in his luxurious bedroom, independently putting on his sneakers and clothes. He moves around using a specially designed bicycle that helps him navigate his spacious room.
After stopping by his mirror to put on his accessories, Ayefele uses the bicycle to travel from his bedroom downstairs to the car park.
The house features a sloped walkway instead of stairs, allowing his bicycle to move freely from one area to another within the home.
Upon arriving at the car park, Yinka Ayefele raised eyebrows as he effortlessly opened his car door and independently transferred himself from his bicycle into the car. Without any assistance, he then drove himself to work.
