The late Taiwo Kekereekun was an on-air personality and staff member at Fresh FM, Osogbo, owned by musician Yinka Ayefele.
After a prolonged battle with an unidentified illness, the broadcaster passed away in the early hours of Monday, June 24.
Fresh FM confirmed the news with a heartfelt statement of condolence on their social media platforms.
The post read: “It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that Fresh FM Osogbo announces the untimely passing of one of our esteemed staff members after a brief illness.
“Taiwo Kekereekun, passed away today, Monday, June 24th, 2024. She left behind a legacy of dedication, professionalism, and camaraderie that will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working with her.
“We find solace in the lasting memories of her kindness, hard work, and the joy she brought to mankind.”
Fresh FM stations are located in Abeokuta, Ado-Ekiti, Akure, Ibadan, Lagos, and Osogbo.
Taiwo Kekereekun’s passing marks a significant loss for the Fresh FM family and the broader Osun State community. Her contributions to broadcasting and the lasting impact of her work and character will be remembered fondly by colleagues, listeners, and fans alike.
