Super Eagles and Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman has become a hot topic online after winning the prestigious 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
The 2024 CAF Awards, held on December 16th in Marrakech, Morocco, celebrated Lookman’s outstanding performance, cementing his reputation as one of the world’s top players this year.
The Nigerian forward edged out stiff competition from South Africa’s Ronwen Williams, Côte d’Ivoire’s Simon Adingra, Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi, and Guinea’s Serhou Guirassy to claim the coveted prize.
His win means the award remains in Nigeria after teammate Victor Osimhen won it last year.
Notably, Ademola Lookman made headlines in 2024 after scoring a hat trick in the Europa League final for Atalanta against the German side Bayer Leverkusen, who had remained unbeaten for 361 days.
