Award-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has become a trending topic following his electrifying performance at the Greater Lagos Countdown 2025.
The highly anticipated event took place from December 31, 2024, into the early hours of January 1, 2025, featuring performances by Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Adekunle Gold, Seyi Vibez, Phyno, and others.
One of the standout moments of the night was when Wizkid paused his performance to pray for Nigerians in 2025. He also took the opportunity to share an uplifting message with his fans, making the night even more memorable.
While speaking on stage, Wizkid fervently prays for his fans as he wishes them a happy new year. He wished his fans and their family a happy new year in good health and wealth. He also added that he is fully back home to Nigeria.
In his words; “E ma pelaye, ema lowo lowo, emi gigun ati Alaafia, fun gbogbo yin at molebiyin. I have a very important message to you, Lagos, Nigeria, I want you to know that your son AKA Big Wiz, Machala, the biggest bird, I want you to know that I’m back home now.”
