“I Did Not Mean Those Words I Said”- Islamic cleric Labeeb Tenders Public Apology To Femi Adebayo For Directing Nancy Isme New Movie Over Uses Of Hijab (Video)

Popular Islamic cleric Labeeb Lagbaji has publicly apologized to renowned Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo after previously criticizing him over a controversial upcoming movie.

Labeeb Lagbaji, who hails from Ilorin, Kwara State, had earlier threatened to deal with Femi Adebayo in a video that circulated on July 29th, 2024, for his involvement in the movie featuring Nancy Isime and other actors.

Recall that actress Nancy Isime was seriously tackled via her verified Instagram page for using niqob as a costume in the upcoming movie where actresses disguised using niqob to rub banks.

Labeeb threatens to deal with Femi Adebayo by using him as a scape-goat stressing that even though the actor is from Ilorin he decided to disrespect the Islamic religion. He also accused Femi Adebayo for not following his father’s Oga Bello footsteps.

In his words; “I have been receiving reports about you, Femi, but I chose to ignore them. Being from Ilorin, I expected you to know better. Why don’t you follow your father, Bello’s, example? I don’t even know what religion you practice. I was informed that you directed that movie, and I will ensure you learn your lesson. You won’t attempt such a thing again.”

However, in less than 24 hours, Islamic cleric Labeeb with his team apologized to Femi Adebayo as he prayed for the actor progresses in the movie industry.

The apologetic video sparked mixed reactions. Some said the Islamic cleric made it out of fear of a lawsuit, while others shared contrary opinions.
