“I Didn’t Say People Shouldn’t Gift Me Money, I Just Don’t Want Them To Say I Am Begging” Veteran Actor Baba Wande Debunks Rumor That He Stopped Acting And He Full Of Pride

Veteran actor Alhaji Kareem Adepoju, popularly known as Baba Wande, recently took to social media to share an update on his career in the movie industry.

In the video, Baba Wande greeted his fans, thanked them for their love, and prayed that God would continue to bless and protect them.

Addressing recent rumors, the actor clarified that many had been asking if he had retired from acting, citing false reports on social media. He firmly denied the claims, stating that he is still actively acting, adding humorously that he’s not a barber, mechanic, or tailor—his livelihood comes from acting.

He shared that an interviewer once asked why he hasn’t appeared in many recent movies. In response, he explained that if he’s invited to act in a film and senses that the producers are trying to cheat him or if the role could tarnish his reputation, he chooses not to participate in that movie.

Oyekanmi wroteAgba yin a dale, Baba. I watched the interview and it’s good that Baba himself has come out to clarify the situation. Producers and Directors should continue to use our OGs, they shouldn’t be using a 30 year old for a role of 70 years old and rely on costumes to do justice to the look…..naaa. God will continue to bless and strengthen you, @baba_wande___
