“I have always been saying that I want my daughter to get married early and she brought a very nice guy home” – Iyabo Ojo speaks on her daughter, Priscilla’s upcoming wedding (Video)

Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo recently spoke about her daughter Priscilla Ojo’s upcoming marriage. Iyabo shared that she often told her daughter she wasn’t ready for marriage, even though she had expressed her desire for Priscilla to marry young.

Priscilla recently told her mother on Instagram that she was prepared to get married, with the wedding planned to take place in Tanzania.

Iyabo explained that she took time to research Tanzania, spoke to Priscilla’s fiancé, Juma, over the phone, and detailed the traditional steps for meeting in-laws, including the expectation that he visit Nigeria for a formal introduction—which Juma happily agreed to.

She praised her future son-in-law for his strong family values, adding that his sister is deeply fond of Priscilla and that wedding preparations are already underway.

“There is power in the tongue. I have always been saying that I wanted my daughter to marry early, but she used to tell me she wasn’t ready. One day, she came to meet me and said that she was ready and we would be going to Tanzania. I quickly checked Google to do my research about Tanzania.

I talked to Juma on the phone and I told him the steps involved in meeting in-laws and that he had to come to Nigeria to introduce himself. He happily agreed that he would take the next available flight to Nigeria. Juma is a very nice and family-oriented man who grew up with love. He loves his mum so much and has respect for women. His sister is so much in love with Priscilla. All the necessary arrangements and meetings are ongoing in preparation for their wedding in 2025”.

Recall that in March, Iyabo revealed her desire for Priscilla to follow her footstep by getting married at a young age and having kids. The mother of two stated that Priscilla always avoids questions about marriage, but she isn’t the type to put her child under pressure.

Luckily for her, her desire came to pass as in August, Priscilla brought the Tanzanian singer to Nigeria for his birthday, where she and her family sweetly welcomed him. Her actress mother had ushered him into the Ojo family, noting how extra was their middle name, as she declared her love for him.
