Popular Yoruba movie actress Biola Fowosere has opened up about why she has refused to engage in any romantic relationships with actors in the Yoruba movie industry. She also shared how some colleagues treated her harshly after she rejected their advances.
In an interview posted on the official YouTube channel of Ojopagogo TV, Biola Fowosere explained that she has remained faithful to her husband, which is why she has never had any romantic involvement with fellow actors.
Biola Fowosere firmly stated that she never engaged in any form of sexual activity to advance her career. She emphasized that while advances from men are common in the industry, they are by no means a requirement for success.
According to Fowosere, women in the Yoruba movie industry often face various pressures and temptations, but maintaining one’s dignity is a personal choice. She stressed that success is not achieved through illicit means, noting that many actresses, including herself, have built their careers purely on talent, discipline, and professionalism.
According to Biola Fowosere, she said, “I have never slept with any actor for a movie role because I’m very loyal to my husband. It is normal for a man to ask a lady to have an affair with him, but the lady is in the right position to reject or agree. Sometimes if I don’t agree to sleep with some actors, they usually give me lesser movie roles.”
