Ajasa Owolabi, a renowned Yoruba actor, has shared his insights on how some actresses seek fame in the film industry and the actions they take with certain actors. He also discussed how their mindset impacts their career progression.
In an interview with Feelrightnews TV, posted on its official YouTube channel, Owolabi revealed that he is aware of actresses who have engaged in affairs with actors in pursuit of popularity.
In his statement, he said, “A lot of people have been accusing actresses of engaging in prostitution, but the truth is that everybody has different missions in the movie industry. I know some actresses who had sex with some actors because they need popularity. I also know some actresses who are very serious about their careers, and they don’t sleep around to get movie roles. Everything depends on the type of family background one belongs to, it doesn’t mean that all actresses are the same.”
Recall that Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe Adeoti has addressed criticism surrounding her marriage to Kazim Adeoti.
In an interview with her colleague Bimpe Akintunde on her talk show, Iriri Mi, Mercy shared her thoughts on accusations that she has turned her husband, a father of four, into a moron. She expressed indifference toward the negative remarks, emphasizing that such opinions hold no significance in her life.
According to Aigbe, people only talk about those who are successful or well-known. She noted that being the subject of discussion often means one is excelling, as prominence naturally attracts attention.
