I Lived With My Now-husband For Years Before He Eventually Married Me, Even Though I Was A Member Of The Church Choir – Comedian Kie Kie Reveal

Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, who goes by the professional name Kie Kie, a well-known Nigerian content producer, recently shared that during her period of singleness, she had already moved in with Tunji Ilori, her future spouse.

She opted to reside together when they were engaged due to her impending house rent expiration, which occurred several months before their wedding. In a recent episode of her podcast, “Toke Moments,” Kiekie opened up to media personality Toke Makinwa.

According to the mother of one, she was a member of her church choir while she and her husband were cohabiting in the same house, even though they hadn’t yet married, and the church remained unaware of their living arrangement.

She said: “My husband and I started living together before we got married because my [house] rent was already due. My rent was due in September, and we were going to get married in January.

So, I can’t renew my rent. And we had done our introduction by then. The church wasn’t aware that we were already living together. I was even singing in the church choir then.”

The comedienne further revealed that she initially had fears about getting married but eventually overcame them through a series of prayers, leading her to take the step towards marriage.
