“I Was Really Afraid To Join The Yoruba Industry Then Because I Heard That Their Actor Are Usually Poor And Diie Young” – Adeniyi Johnson  Reveal

Renowned Yoruba actor Adeniyi Johnson has revealed why he was initially reluctant to join the Yoruba film industry despite being invited by one of its veterans. He also shared how he has been coping with the pressures of filmmaking.

In an interview posted on the official YouTube channel of Kunleafod TV, the actor admitted that his hesitation stemmed from a rumor he had heard—that actors in the Yoruba movie industry frequently pass away. This fear made him apprehensive about pursuing a career in the sector.

In his statement, he said, “I was on a movie set when I got a phone call from my father, and I spoke with him in the Yoruba language, and my production manager on the movie set said he would like to feature me in a Yoruba movie. I was afraid to join the Yoruba movie industry because I heard their actors usually die. He persuaded me to join the industry, and he told me that the death rumors aren’t true, so I decided to give it a try, and since then I have been in the Yoruba movie industry.”
