During an Instagram Live session, veteran Nollywood actress Toyin Adegbola shared her views on divorce and infidelity in marriage.
Adegbola expressed that unfaithfulness should not be the sole reason for divorce, advising women not to leave their marriages solely due to their husbands’ misconduct.
She further emphasized the difficulties that divorcees may face when seeking remarriage and encouraged women to endure and develop coping strategies within their marriages, rather than opting for separation.
She even suggested more unconventional approaches, such as providing condoms to unfaithful husbands, as part of her advice for managing infidelity, recommending that women adopt coping strategies rather than ending their marriages.
She said; “No matter how bad your husband is, don’t ever leave his house because in future you will beg him when the children have important events to do. If you leave, you will not see any single man to marry you and you will be cheating with another person’s husband. Sit down in your husband’s house and always advise him to protect himself while he cheats. Just be begging and buying condoms for him if he’s cheating.”
