Veteran Yoruba actor Yinka Quadri has spoken in defense of romantic relationships between actors and actresses, urging people not to criticize such interactions.
In an interview shared on the official YouTube channel of Oyinmomo TV, the actor stated that there is nothing wrong with actors and actresses being in relationships, as long as there is mutual understanding and genuine affection between them.
In his statement, he said, “In a situation whereby we have a group of people that involves men and women, it’s very likely that some of them will admire each other, and there’s nothing wrong if they fall in love with each other. It’s okay for actors and actresses to engage in sexual relationships if they like each other. It’s unfair to regard love affairs between actors and actresses as sex in exchange for movie roles, there’s nothing of the sort.”
In another post Woli Agba Ajewole has penned a prayerful note to the Ooni of Ife’s former wife, Naomi Silekunola.
In a lengthy post on his Instagram page, he stated that he strongly believes this is not happening outside the knowledge of God. He prayed that she would be vindicated and the glory of God would shine brighter on her.
He noted how she was only merciful, and as such, he prays that God shows her His mercies. Woli stated that the desire of her enemies shall perish with them and every satanic or demonic intervention is cancelled.
“I strongly believe this is not happening outside the knowledge of God. May you be vindicated and the Glory of God shall shine brighter on you. “You are only being merciful, and God will show you HIS MERCIES.”
