Jaiye Kuti managed to incite a response from Jigan Babaoja, notorious for provoking celebrities himself.
During an event, Jaiye encouraged Jigan to join her at the podium for dancing and money spraying to commemorate the occasion. Uninterested, Jigan declined, prompting the actress to playfully remove his chair, eliciting laughter from the audience.
Nigerian film actress Jaiye Kuti, also known as Jaiyeola Monje, found herself in a playful exchange with her fellow actor, Abimbola Kazeem, popularly referred to as Jigan Babaoja.
The Nollywood personalities gathered at an event in Akure, joined by colleagues like Afeez Owo, Bimbo Oshin, Kemi Korede, Adeniyi Johnson, Seyi Shay, and several others.
In a video shared by the actress, it seemed that Jigan Babaoja, known for provoking various celebrities, had earlier teased Jaiye Kuti. In response, Jaiye Kuti, elegantly dressed in the same fabric as other attendees, approached Jigan’s table. She playfully took his cap and attempted to persuade him to stand up and join her. Despite her insistence, the actor declined, leading her to pull his chair, coaxing him to rise.
Jigan appeared uninterested in joining the dance floor to spray money on the celebrant. Eventually, Jaiye relented, returning the stack of money she had gathered and allowing him to remain seated.
As Jigan attempted to resume sitting, Jaiye Kuti pulled his chair, causing him to fall back onto the seat with a thud.
Jigan wasn’t having it and clearly got provoked. He engaged in an argument with Jaiye Kuti, while other guests burst into laughter without intervening in their squabble. The actress, who had threatened him, captioned the video:
