The reconciliation between Taye Akande Adebisi, popularly known as Taye Currency, and Fuji maestro Wasiu Alabi, widely known as Pasuma, is a joyous moment for fans and admirers. Their long-standing feud has finally come to an end during the ongoing Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
The feud between Fuji musicians Taye Currency and Pasuma stemmed from a series of misunderstandings and perceived slights. During a live performance, Taye Currency voiced his frustration over being referred to as Pasuma’s “son” in the industry. While he acknowledged Pasuma as a senior colleague, he argued that their age difference did not justify such a label.
He further stated that Pasuma could not possibly be old enough to be his father and that his unwavering loyalty to him had, at times, undermined his own brand. Offended by these remarks, Pasuma expressed disappointment, viewing Currency’s words as a sign of ingratitude.
Fortunately, their rift was short-lived, as Killington and K1 intervened to mediate between them. Taye Currency later apologized to Pasuma during another live performance, and Pasuma accepted his apology. However, despite their reconciliation, the two had not been seen together publicly until now.
A recently surfaced video shows Pasuma and Currency in what appears to be a hotel room in Mecca, where they put their differences aside while performing Umrah, marking a true moment of peace and unity.
