Nigerian Nollywood comedic actor Yemi Eloso has issued a warning to families who isolate their children for educational purposes.
In a video on his verified Instagram account, the actor said:
“Leave Junior alone and let him rest. Those children you have been isolating all these years still come back with third class instead of first class.”
The actor stated that in the morning, Junior goes to school, in the afternoon, a teacher comes for home lessons, and in the evening, it’s the same routine.
He emphasized that Junior has no time for rest or mental refreshment, lacking any freedom.
He further remarked that those kids, once overly isolated for education, are now the ones selling drugs like Colorado on the streets.
He added that these children did not travel to Libya because of their education or superior math skills. He asserted that if they knew math better than he does, they wouldn’t necessarily know money better than he does.
He concluded by saying that instead of providing only education, parents should also give their children vocational training to ensure their success.
