Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo has finally opened up about why she left the Yoruba film industry.
Sharing her experience on social media, the curvy actress revealed that she was blacklisted by marketers for refusing to sleep with them. According to her, they went as far as instructing producers not to cast her in movies and even removed her image from a billboard for a film she starred in.
Biodun expressed how deeply their actions affected her career, forcing her to step away from the industry she once loved. Reflecting on her struggles, she questioned how much of their wrongdoing she should expose, admitting that their treatment made her lose interest in the profession she was once passionate about.
“Marketers were the reason I left the movie industry after blácklisting me for refusing to remove my panties. They even told producers to stop featuring me in movies and went as far as removing my head from the poster of a film where I played the lead role. How many of their w!cked actions should I even talk about? They did so much damage to my career then that l eventually got tired of acting and walked away by myself. I developed so much h@tred for a job I once had so much passion for that I began to turn jobs down”.
