Nigerian artist Ahmed Ololade Asake, commonly known as Asake, recently caused a stir on social media with a significant change to his verified Instagram page.
In a recent update, the singer, who boasts 4.9 million verified Instagram followers, decided to unfollow everyone on his page, including his boss Olamide and the song “Only Me.”
The drama didn’t stop there; singer Asake stirred up more controversy by deleting all the images and videos from his Instagram page, leaving it devoid of any content to share on the popular photo and video sharing platform.
Recall that Olamide signed Asake to his record label YBNL in February 2022 and by extension Asake has become an established artiste in the music industry.
Over the last two years, Asake has drop two hit albums dubbed, Mr Money with the vibe (2022), Work of art (2023).
Also, Asake put the country name on the world map in the year 2023 as he shutdown the 20,00 capacity 02 Arena.
Even though, Asake has recorded a massive success in the music industry over the last 2 years, the recent developments where where he unfollows his boss Olamide, Davido Wizkid and all other people on Instagram as well as deleting all his IG posts has sparked several reactions online.
However, he left a profile picture that reads; “What the fvck is really going on.”
