In a video circulating on social media, controversial Nigerian singer Portable characterized the late singer Mohbad as a betrayer, linking his actions to his unfortunate demise.
According to Portable, Mohbad was an exceptionally talented musician nurtured by Naira Marley’s Marlian records but chose to sever ties with the label that had significantly boosted his career.
Portable revealed that Mohbad accused the label of not offering the expected love and support, prompting his abrupt departure. This led to a disturbing turn of events as Mohbad associated with Naira Marley’s rivals, allegedly resulting in a plot to frame Naira Marley for his murder.
Portable highlighted the irony in the fact that artists like Naira Marley invest their resources and mentorship to nurture young talents, only to be met with betrayal.
He emphasized that Naira Marley’s support for Mohbad had originated from a sincere and selfless motive, which made Mohbad’s alleged betrayal all the more disheartening and difficult to comprehend.
He further expressed optimisim that Naira Marley will be exonerated in no time.
This reaction from Portable comes after he recently parted ways with his ex-signee Young Duu who is now with Carter Efe engaging in freestyle and even changing his iPhone 6 to a brand new iPhone 11.
Translating from Yoruba to English, Portable said; “Mohbad was k!lled because he was a betrayer. We help these young artistes and make them blow but they repay us with evil. After everything Marlian music did for Mohbad, he later said they didn’t love him. He left the label and went to associate with the enemies of Naira Marley. Those ones then k!lled him to implicate Naira. God will save Naira from this mess because he only helped MohBad out of a good heart but he betrayed him.”
