Yoruba film actress Adewumi Fatai has opened up about a troubling experience she faced while in the UK with fellow actress Bukky Fagbuyi.
In a recent interview on the official YouTube channel of Biola Adebayo Ent, Fatai shared how the incident affected her reputation and professional relationships.
She recounted that her journey started when Bukky invited her to stay at her home, unaware of the challenges that would follow.
“It was Bukky Fagbuyi who asked me to come and stay with her in the UK. Bukky is a very nice person, but I didn’t know she was saying something bad behind my back,” she explained.
This betrayal seemingly left a lasting impact, as Fatai claimed she was informed by others about Fagbuyi’s negative comments concerning her.
The situation escalated when a particular incident led to a serious accusation. Fatai shared, “There was a day her child was playing with some money inside her room; I was the one who collected the money from her child and gave it to her when she came back, but she didn’t trust me when her gold jewellery was missing.”
This mistrust culminated in a public accusation that Fatai described as disgraceful.
She stated, “Bukky Fagbuyi disgraced me when she accused me of stealing her gold jewellery in the UK.”
