A Nigerian woman disclosed her intention to initiate divorce proceedings against her spouse after he arranged for a female tout, known as an “agbero,” to physically assault her.
Despite being married for only eight months, the woman revealed that her husband had paid the agbero to attack her following a disagreement they had two months earlier. She emphasized that her husband had never previously resorted to physical violence against her, and she had never challenged him to do so.According to the woman, her husband apologized after orchestrating the assault by the agbero, but the incident has led her to consider ending their marriage.

In her words; “Am I wrong for wanting a divorce after 8 months? My husband has never beaten me directly before and I’ve never dared him to beat me.
Two months ago, we had an argument and he paid an agbero woman to come and fight me and she beat me up. He apologized but he just did it again yesterday.”

She said that someone had taken one from the ones she left outside, and the one the person took was the big one.
