Afrobeats sensation Ayodeji Balogun, known as Wizkid, is grieving the loss of his mother, Jane Morayo Balogun, who passed away on her birthday.
According to Famous9ja, Jane Dolapo Balogun died in London on August 18, 2023.
Reflecting on her posthumous birthday, Wizkid expressed profound sadness, stating that life would feel empty without her.
In a heartfelt message on his X handle, he wrote: “Happy birthday, love of my life! I miss you every day. The first one without you here feels unreal. Nothing makes sense without you, mama! Life is empty without you. Continue to watch over us! My heart is broken forever! Love you, love you, MORAYO mi. Your smile is a memory I will never forget. Your laugh! Your hugs and kisses. I miss you dearly!”
Wizkid recently declared that he would release a new album called “Morayo” in memory of his late mother, albeit the exact release date is yet unknown.
