“Na wetin he go Chop he dey find” Actor Adeniyi Johnson beg for mercy on behalf of skitmaker, Trinity Guy

Nigerian actor Adeniyi Johnson has appealed to the Nigerian police, urging them to strike a balance between justice and compassion in the case of skitmaker Trinity Guy.

Trinity Guy, currently held in custody in Ibadan, is facing charges for a thoughtless prank that involved sexualizing a minor. Adeniyi Johnson took to his Instagram page to implore the Nigerian police to consider showing leniency in this particular case.

While acknowledging that Trinity’s actions were undeniably wrong and absurd, Adeniyi emphasized that Trinity was merely attempting to make a living. Adeniyi stated that the hardships Trinity encountered in his struggle for survival pushed him to transgress the boundaries of the law.

“Dear Nigerian police force and every other related agencies!!!! Many of us agree that our brother did what is wrong and absurd!! All I am pleading for is to TEMPER JUSTICE WITH MERCY. Please @iamtrinityguy is a young man looking for what to eat legally but he incidentally fell on the wrong side of the law!! Please be merciful as I know he has learnt already”.

Court charge Trinity

According to Famous9ja, a Magistrate Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, issued an order for the remand of Abdullahi Maruff Afida, popularly known as Trinity Guy.

Earlier, the Nigerian police, through the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumyuwa Adejobi, had called for the arrest of Trinity Guy following the circulation of a viral video featuring his dangerous pranks.

In a statement released by the Oyo State Police Command on Friday, it was revealed that the skit maker and the parent of the young girl in the viral video were interrogated by the Command and scheduled to appear in court on Monday, June 26th.

During the court proceedings, the defendant’s counsel, Oludare Adebayo, requested bail for his client before the Magistrate.

Regrettably, Magistrate PO Adetuyibi denied the bail request, explaining that the allegation against the skit maker was being addressed by the State Ministry of Justice.

Additionally, the court ordered that the parents of the little girl in the video be remanded along with Trinity Guy.

The Magistrate adjourned the case until July 11.
